About the Artist

Hi! My name is Anya and I'm a self-taught watercolor artist based in Kansas City. I am a big nerd who loves aviation and weather, and when I'm not working or painting I love to hang out with my husband and my dog, Todo Baggins.

I began painting 4 years ago when my mom and I wanted a relaxing activity to do together during one of her visits to see me over a weekend. We began painting flowers and I quickly expanded my craft into painting buildings and places that hold meaning to me. That passion grew into painting homes for my loved ones and destinations that I have visited from around the world.

I am an avid traveler with a goal to visit all 7 continents in my lifetime. I have four checked off the list so far - North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia! Traveling the world is a privilege that I do not take for granted, and I want to share the beauty of everywhere I'm able to go with others in a special way through watercolor art. I hope my work inspires you to take the trip you've always dreamed of, or reminisce on fond memories from a place that holds special meaning to you.
